Map: We Should Be Ashamed of Ourselves. Here's Why.
Tsk tsk. There's nothing like taking a look at the big picture, and realizing why we should be ashamed of ourselves. California, it's our air pollution, according to this map and list from Pleated Jeans. Which, considering we could be Washingtonians who are really into animals (shame = beastiality), or Maine-ites (Mainers? Mainians?) with low SAT scores (shame = dumbest), or North Dakotans who come up short in the pretty department (shame = ugliest), well, we aren't doing that badly.
10 States Want Gay Marriage Delayed
Ten states have approached California to ask the state's Supreme Court to stay the ban on same-sex marriages until voters make a decision at the November election. "The attorneys general said they have an interest in the case because they would have to determine if their states would recognize the marriage of gay residents who wed in California," KNBC reported. "They want the court to stay its ruling until after the November election, when voters likely will decide whether to amend the state constitution to ban gay marriage."
