Talk about a surprise: A woman returned to her car after shopping in a Lancaster grocery store to find a 9-foot snake slithering beneath the vehicle, according to ABC7.
LAFD Wrangle 5-Foot Snake on the Streets of South L.A.
The streets of South L.A. had a different kind of thug rolling--or slithering--around today: A 5-foot-long snake. The snake, though perhaps to have been a boa constrictor, was found by a woman "in the strip of grass between the sidewalk and West 46th Street, between Denker and Halldale avenues," according to cbs2. The woman called the fire department who were able to get "the snake into a five-gallon bucket" to "be turned over to L.A. Animal Services."

What an odd story. A Covina family on Sunday was shopping in Azusa when an announcement came over the store's intercom asking for the owner of his car to step outside -- there was a surprise waiting for him. Witnesses said a seven-foot boa constrictor crawled into his engine and when 25-year-old David Morelli opened the engine hood, he could see the snake wedged in there, according to the San Gabriel Tribune.
