Traffic in Downtown has been reeling all morning because of an overturned big rig carrying 42,000 pounds of Christmas trees, and the Sig Alert is scheduled to be in effect until noon today. "The crash was reported at 4:30 a.m. on the northbound Santa Ana (101) Freeway connector to the southbound Harbor (110) Freeway," explains the Daily News. The crash took place at around 4:46 this morning, according to the Daily Breeze, and involved two vehicles. The Los Angeles Fire Department is reporting a large car crash, involving approximately 10 cars, on the southbound 101 freeway. The crash, which occurred around 1:40 a.m., has injured at least 10 patients, two who are reported to be in critical condition. A crash involving four vehicles prompted a SigAlert on the eastbound 118 Freeway during rush hour this morning. A witness told police that a driver of black honda was text messaging prior to hitting a bus, spinning out and hitting other vehicles. Another bus and a box truck were also involved in the crash, which was located before Reseda Boulevard. more ›

All southbound lanes will be closed at Burbank Boulevard until at least 1 p.m. due to an multi-car accident, including a private ambulance near the junction of the 405 and the 101 around 11 a.m., according to SigAlert.com.
