Parisian street artist Blek le Rat hit Subliminal Projects for his first U.S. art show this weekend and although it's been mentioned twice already on LAist, seeing Shepard Fairey's new space in action with the public inside really demonstrated Echo Park's newest arrival in a fascinating light. A line longer than the Short Stop formed outside the Gallery Saturday night as art patrons danced, drank wine and dished out conversation inside about art, Obama and how great it is that the neighborhood now has this institution. Take a look, below, at the new space that shares with Fairey's Studio Number One and Obey (and take note of the old-school brick flooring). The show ends May 2nd followed by Dee Dee Cheriel and Louise Bonnet on May 17th.

RocknRollDating.com is the creation of Eagle Rock resident and music industry veteran, Daniel House. He has created the free online dating site with music as the coming-together concept. Put in your favorite bands and concerts, your preferred genres and the normal dating profile stats such as heights, sex, etc. and go find your mate based on the tunes you share in common. Or maybe you'll find someone who will let you experience new music.

Today we are all supposed to be thankful, so that's exactly what I am going to do, right now, in enumerated fashion, just for you.

Why the Milwaukee Brewers, of course. Led by young hitting stars Prince (Don't Call me Cecil) Fielder, Bill Hall (of Fame), Corey (Never Surrender) Hart, and Rickie (insert cheesy nickname here) Weeks, the Brewers have belted more home runs than all but two major league teams. Matched with an unhittable bullpen and a . . . well . . . and a serviceable starting rotation, the Brew Crew is suddenly the team to beat in the National League.

Just in case we need to remind you, despite being the highest priced dog in the park, the Vegetarian Dodger Dog still exists and in the same place as it has been for the past few years (we tested this theory last night, it works). It is only sold in one spot in the whole park, so just repeat this mantra and you will be fine: Level 7, Section 3-5. Level 7, Section 3-5....
