Stand Up To Cancer announced on Sunday that "from its launch on May 28, 2008, through September 5, 2008’s historic simultaneous commercial-free telecast, the initiative has raised more than $100 million to accelerate ground-breaking research and bring new therapies to patients more quickly." ABC, CBS and NBC simultaneously ran the special television event commercial-free last Friday, donating the airtime. LAist was there Friday to bring you these pics straight from the red carpet. They are as loyal as they can be." - Sharon Osbourne, LA Times 7/6 “We cannot allow political pressure from critics of unpopular ideas......

Ozzfest was held this weekend at the Hyundai out in the IE and at Coors down in SD. At the LA show there were two technical difficulties that caused power outtages in the sets of Avenged Sevenfold and Atreyu. After the jump see video from backstage right after the power went out with Avenged asking the filmmaker "is Avenged the next Iron Maiden?" -- referring to the infamous Ozzfest moment last year when Sharon......

Maybe it's because nobody walks in LA. In New York, people walk their dogs and watch them squat, nonchalantly scooping their pooches' poop when necessary. It took an Angeleno to invent Pet a Potty, the rolling indoor/outdoor grass box that your pup can squat in to do his business. Advertised as a "solution for those walks at inopportune times," handily equipped with a trap pan for liquids, available in artificial or real turf and......
