The 35-year-old Florida man accused of hacking the accounts of more than 50 female celebrities -- and at least one 13-year-old, non-celebrity girl -- will appear in court in Los Angeles today, reports KTLA. Christoper Chaney faces charges of identity theft, unauthorized computer access and wiretapping.
Scarlett Johansson's Hackerazzi Allegedly Stalked a 13-Year-Old Non-Celebrity
The man who hacked into the accounts of celebrities like ScarJo and Mila Kunis may have stalked a totally unfamous Connecticut woman for 12 years, starting when she was 13 years old.
FBI Arrest Over Naked ScarJo Pics Could Represent Tip of Hackerazzi Iceberg
The FBI had a big break when it arrested Christopher Chaney for hacking into the e-mails of Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis and Christina Aguilera, but now it appears that he's far from alone in doing the exact same thing.
'Hackerazzi' Was Just Really Good at Guessing Celebrities' Passwords
It turns out the man who allegedly hacked into the e-mail accounts of celebrities like Scarlett Johansson and leaked nude photos relied less on technical prowess and more on tabloid fare to commit his crimes. FBI officials said that by reading tabloids and keeping up with celebrities' Twitter and Facebook feeds, Christopher Chaney, 35, was able to guess the passwords of celebrities.
FBI Makes Arrest in Celebrity Hacking Case, Scarlett Johansson Exhales
The FBI has made an arrest in Operation Hackerazzi, the investigation of celebrity phone hacking in Hollywood. Officials have scheduled a news conference later Wednesday morning to release additional information. The break in the case comes several weeks after reports that the cellphone accounts of stars, including the outraged Scarlett Johansson, were hacked
Scarlett Johansson's Lawyer Threatens Websites Over Nude Pics of the Actress
Scarlett Johansson is fucking PISSED about someone hacking her cell phone and retrieving nude pics of her. First, she enlisted the help of the FBI. Now, TMZ reports that Marty Sing, her lawyer, is going on the offensive, and has sent threatening emails to a number of websites letting them know that if they keep the photos up, they will face legal action.
FBI Announces Probe of Celebrity Nude Hacking Ring, After Naked ScarJo Pics Show Up On the Internet
The FBI announced today that it was investigating a ring of hackers believed to have targeted the personal e-mail accounts and cell phones of more than 50 female celebrities. This announcement came just hours after nude photos from Scarlett Johansson's cell phone surfaced on the internet.
Extra, Extra

TV Junkie: Scarlett Hosts 'SNL' for the _3rd_ Time?? Romano To Do All-Star Fundraiser in Town This Sat.
We knew that Scarlett Johansson was to host this weekend's "Saturday Night Live" (with musical guest Arcade Fire) but we didn't know it was to be for the 3rd time (she's only 25). We remember that she wasn't the best of guest hosts the last time she did it or are we confusing her with (yet) another mediocre guest host? Do you think she has the chops to be one of the most repeated female guest hosts for "SNL"? Obviously Lorne Michaels likes her but is there no other voice of reason there? See the promo clip at the end of this post.
Box Office Review: Ironman 2 Blasts Competition!
There was never any doubt that Ironman 2 would dominate the box office this weekend. The only question was whether it would top The Dark Knight for the largest opening ever. Nope! Despite the largest theater booking in history, Ironman 2 only (only?) managed to bring in $133.6M. That tally squashed the awful A Nightmare on Elm Street ($9.1M | $48.5M) and the resilient How To Train Your Dragon ($6.7M | $201M). The sturdy Date Night continued to print money ($5.3M | $80.8M) as did the nauseating The Back-up Plan ($4.3M | $29.4M).
Weekend Movie Guide: He is Iron Man!
The natural inclination amongst civilized folk is to resist the bloated blockbusters that trample into theaters every summer. Surprisingly, that sentiment hasn't really applied to Iron Man 2. I imagine that's because of the tremendous good will accorded to Robert Downey Jr. I didn't love Iron Man 2 as much as Iron Man (click here), but it's still a solid piece of popcorn entertainment. There probably won't be a more adorable film this year than Babies. That will either bring you into the theater or keep you away (it will bring me in).
LA Shorts Fest
“This reads like the list of horses at the Hollywood Park Racetrack,” my friend said, flipping though my copy of the LA Shorts Fest program. He had a point -- Free Lunch, Hove (The Wind), Schrodinger's Cat -- these film short titles could easily inspire the naming of a racehorse. And after sitting in on the screenings of at least 100 of the shorts so far, I can say attending is as much fun as a day at the races and just as unpredictable.
A Black Friday Alternative: Vermeer and Duchamp at the Norton Simon
Shopping in crowded stores not your thing today? Here’s a stress-free suggestion: Stop by Pasadena’s Norton Simon Museum for a closer look at a new Vermeer on loan from the National Gallery of Art in Washington and catch the Marcel Duchamp installation before it closes next week.

Weekend Movie Guide: Ferrell + Sports = Comedy?
I'll go on the record and say that I think Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy is the funniest movie in the last ten years. Will Ferrell's subsequent pictures--most of them amusing to varying degrees--have never lived up that early, brilliant standard. Semi-Pro is his latest picture and if its previews are any barometer of its quality, it looks like Ferrell has fallen short yet again. Don't get me wrong--I'm sure I'll laugh plenty, but I doubt that Jackie Moon will linger with me for very long after I've left the theater. Whither the apocryphal Anchorman 2?!

The Jesus and Mary Chain @ Wiltern 10/24/07
Marking the first Los Angeles appearance since 1998 (when legend has it members of the Scottish alternative rock band decided to part ways), last night The Jesus and Mary Chain headlined after opening acts Evan Dando and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Earlier this year the band reunited, playing a show at Coachella that seemed to elicit more mentions about Scarlett Johansson on stage than the actual music. If the performance at the Wiltern yesterday...
How We're Doing on the Rumors
We don't like to post rumors but we know you'd hate us if we sat on our hands as juicy stuff filled our In Boxes and we didn't let you know that something could be excellent. So now that Coachella has come and gone, we can admit to being wrong about Gwen Stefani being there, but be pleased that we told you that Scarlett Johansson would be singing with the Jesus and Mary Chain...

"Torboto" on SNL
The best thing about last night's Saturday Night Live was neither Scarlett Johansson hosting nor Bjork singing - both were disappointing to say the least. Indeed the only saving grace of the whole night was the TV Funhouse cartoon "Torboto". "The Prince Show", was ok, we guess, or was that the week before? They're all so disposable and interchangeable. If you didn't make it an hour and twenty minutes into the show and missed...
Best Rumor of the Day: Scarlett Johansson to Sing Background at Jesus And Mary Chain Show on Thursday
What could be better than Thursday's upcoming "secret" pre-Coachella show at the Glass House with the Jesus and Mary Chain? How about if busty actress Scarlett Johansson was going to be there singing background vocals for the gloomy band? Stereogum, in a tiny aside on a Bjork post, linked to a blog called Cat Dirt who claimed to be the first to correctly announce that the JAMC were going to play the tiny club...

Scarlett Johansson Sex Tape and other Celeb Quickies
- Over the last few days two very odd, small blogs have reported a sex tape being released starring an actress who allegedly gave oral pleasure to her boyfriend while on a hot set with her mic still on. The actress's name was never revealed. Only the hint that she had a deeper voice.... and the actress could be known by a red letter A. So either it's Lindsay (because everyone thinks shes a...

Scarlett Johansson to Sing Tom Waits Songs
In what could be the best cd in a long time, or the most laughable, Fox News is reporting that Esquire's Sexiest Woman Alive is negotiating with Rhino Records to record an album of Tom Waits covers. Scarlett Johansson, who earlier this month fell from a horse while filming "The Other Boleyn Girl" in England, is going to jump into the ring with the likes of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, J-Lo, and Juliette Lewis...
Amoeba's Top 25: 10/4- 10/10: Beck, Dylan, Decemberists
Even though Beck is #1 this week, due in part to his headlining the LA Weekly Detour Festival, we present to you the video of Bob Dylan's 'When The Deal Goes Down', not just because it stars our girl Scarlett Johansson, but because Bob has somehow stayed in the Amoeba Top 25 ever since he debuted there early last month. LA Times in bed with Black Dahlia?
How LA Observed gets these LA Times internal memos is beyond us, but we love it. Today Kevin Roderick printed an email whose subject line was: "The Times' Innovative Pre-Awareness Promotional Campaign for 'The Black Dahlia'." Now we realize the times they are a-changing but we feel a little creeped out with our local paper getting all giddy about being in bed with a movie studio over a summer movie. Isn't the job of...
