Sandra Bernhard strutted onto the Redcat stage Thursday night, garnering two standing ovations - one upon her entrance and another as she said goodnight to her fans and the L.A. premiere of her new show, "I Love Being Me, Don't You?" Clad in a black and silver distressed dress luring peeks at her midriff and thighs, Bernhard stills looks and sounds fierce.

Sandra Bernhard's 'I Love Being Me, Don't You?' Graces L.A. For Four Nights In August
Backed by a four-piece band, Bernhard presents a "no-holds-barred evening of outrageous humor, cutting satire and fiercely energetic live performance." Her comedy album of the same title released in June. No virgin to the limelight, Bernhard first stepped on stage at The Comedy Store in L.A. in the 1970s and has since toured the U.S. and Europe, delighting audiences with her edgy stage shows.

What I do hope to see is some discussion about how humans have affected these ancient migratory paths and to the detriment of these animals.

Everything Bad and Beautiful
Audiences should be prepared for a bracing evening at the theater:
