Photo courtesy of Lionsgate After successfully resuscitating his Rocky franchise last year, Sylvestor Stallone tempts fate again today by bringing the world a new Rambo movie titled, er, Rambo. Something tells me it may be tougher sledding this time around since John Rambo is hardly a beloved character in the same vein as Rocky Balboa. Personally, I think the franchises should be fused: Rambo versus a Drago/Clubber Lang hydra in a fight to the......

Saturday is going to be huge. I’m not even talking about Cinco de Mayo. Granted, Cinco de Mayo will be a huge day of cultural celebration for the many Mexican-Americans in LA, as well as the many boozers who will be, um, celebrating in their own way by double fisting Coronas. What I’m talking about is a boxing match. Wait, a boxing match? Seriously? Yes, I know, boxing is full of corruption and politics, more......

And Rafael Furcal remains mired on the disabled list with a sprained ankle (not necessarily the best of injuries for a speedy lead-off hitter). However, as Rocky Balboa mentioned to Clubber Lang repeatedly in the third round......

We're not sure if the realization of "Rambo IV" actually hinges upon the success of "Rocky Balboa" next week at the box office, but if it does, we're buying our tickets for the latter now. True, we've always loathed Rambo movies (perhaps even more so, Rimbaud movies), but something tells us this one could be different. If our favorite Lord of Flatbush can get the bankroll from "Balboa" to just bring a certain Eagle......

Seems like Sylvester Stallone is either really, really bored or broke. Why else would the 60-year-old Italian Stallion need to pull Rocky -- and now Rambo -- out of the oldie oldster home? According to an AP story: In the latest sequel, John Rambo is pulled out of retirement in Bangkok to help find missionary aid workers who disappear as they're delivering supplies to ethnic minorities in neighboring Myanmar. The final chapter of the Rocky......
