Might This Offend You, Yeah?

The latest installment of "Ice Age" is soon to arrive in theaters. To announce this now-trilogy's release, Los Angeles drivers are greeted by an extendo-billboard featuring the film's protagonist. His prominent, elongated nose, and pair of chubby cheeks are impossible to miss. Some may feel that this nut-clutcher offers an uncanny resemblance to the business end of the male reproductive system. His woodland critter pals seem to be snickering at something. This B-movie version of Bonnie & Clyde is set in 1932 Texas and stars Angie Dickinson as a bootlegging, bank-robbing mom who joins up with Tom Skerritt and William Shatner to bilk society for all they can get. In between the robbing and killing are numerous sexy romps. more ›

Lights

Now that Thanksgiving is over, the Southland is ablaze with festive decorations to celebrate the season, and (ahem) spur along commerce. In West Hollywood the bars needn't decorate. They put on a show throughout the year. The ever-growing Abbey owes much of its fame to being glossy. That, and eating up half the real estate on Robertson Blvd. Crowds notwithstanding, the decor is worth investigating. O-Bar serves up a better mojito, however. (Not to mention a more relaxed scene.)
