A man was shot in the hand yesterday afternoon after an alleged road rage attack, according to the LAPD. The 35-year-old man while driving on the northbound 101 freeway when at least six shots were fired at him, forcing him to exit onto Lankershim Blvd and stopping outside a body shop on the 4300 block near Bloomfield St. shortly before 3:45 p.m. The shooter crashed into a pole and ditched the car only to be found a few blocks away by police, ABC7 reported. more ›

Swedish hip-hop artist David Moses Jassy today pleaded not guilty to murder and other charges stemming from an alleged Hollywood road rage incident on November 23rd, in which he killed John Osnes, a jazz musician. Osnes, also described as a pedestrian rights activist, was said to have slapped his hands onto Jassy's rented SUV when the vehicle crossed into the crosswalk. An altercation began resulting in Jassy throwing a punch, a kick and then fatally running Osnes over. Jassy remains in jail with bail set at $1 million. Dr. Christopher Thompson of Mandeville Canyon, the man accused of assaulting two cyclists with his vehicle on Mandeville Canyon Road during the morning of Fourth of July, had his day in court today. At 8:30 a.m. he appeared at the airport courthouse, pleaded innocent to felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon reckless driving causing injury (2) and battery with serious bodily injury (2) and the special allegation of causing great bodily injury.
