Lost & Found: Stolen Rembrandt Sketch Recovered At Encino Church
Rembrandt's "The Judgment," which vanished from The Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey on Saturday, has been recovered as of Monday night, reports NBC LA. Of all places the stolen artwork, reportedly worth $250,000, could have been stashed, it was located at an Encino church.
Condos at L.A. Live Scheduled to Open Soon
The much-anticipated condos at L.A. Live are scheduled to open starting this month. The first escrow is set to close on Tuesday in the high-rise, luxury condominium complex located at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, according to the LA Times. Last summer, developer AEG reduced the prices on the condos between 10% to 20%.

Wolfgang Puck to Open an Asian Eatery at Downtown's Ritz-Carlton
Rumors of Wolfgang Puck taking the 24th floor restaurant space at the newly opened J.W. Marriot/Ritz-Carlton tower in downtown's L.A. Live were confirmed today. “I am thrilled to be partnering with The Ritz-Carlton again and to be a part of the first luxury hotel to open downtown,” Puck said. “Given my longstanding relationship with the city of Los Angeles, it is an honor to continue my involvement with the renaissance of downtown, especially L.A. LIVE.”
Now Open: LA Live's JW Marriott Hotel
The 878-room JW Marriott Hotel on the campus of LA Live opened Monday night, as scheduled. With plans first unveiled in June 2006, the opening of the venue signals a likely sea change in how people experience visits to next door's Staples Center, as well as in LA's ability to draw revenue from tourism and conventions.
Unnamed Celebrity Chefs to Head Restaurants at LA Live Hotels
As the two hotels and condos prepare to open at L.A. Live (all in one building), Eric Richardson at blogdowntown sat down with the building's Director of Food and Beverage to get some details. What's known so far is enough to get foodies excited. There will be two "signature" restaurants with yet-to-be-named celebrity chefs. The ground floor will be home to L.A. Market while the other restaurant will live on the 24th floor. There will also be a cocktail room called the Mixing Room. And add to that a lobby lounge and poolside bar named Glance and Ion, respectively.
