This week, Phillyist saw the waters of a landmark fountain run red for a Showtime marketing stunt, the Phils pull ahead, and some serious nostalgia. They also got a chance to review an awesome tribute album, reminded folks to see the King, and appreciated their beautiful skyline.

AM news: babes and babies and more
buns in the oven? Anna Nicole Smith, who just had the Supreme Court side with her (sort of) against her nasty stepson, is rumored to be pregnant — with twins. Our favorite part of the story is the name of her lawyer, who issued a non-denial of the pregnancy yesterday: he's Howard K. Stern.
Hi and low and lower art
We have no qualifications for judging art, and we were pretty stumped at the recent MOCA opening of Visual Music. Just as we were trying to determine why so many handsome male couples were leaving looking nonplussed, a gentleman turned to us and asked "This is pretty boring, isn't it?" -- reinforcing our conviction that anyone who's ever been to a rave has seen all this and more. Or maybe watched a rave on TV on one of those gritty dramas like 90210 or The OC. So if high art dipping its toe into not-very-interesting contemporary wall projections isn't your style, you might check out this weekend's benefit for LA's own artUS magazine, an upstart in the art world. Art/performances include grotesqueries from Reverend Al's Art of Bleeding and the audience will surely include many people who know more about art than we do.
