Hikers in the Angeles National Forest made a grim discovery Sunday afternoon as they trekked the lower trail on Lake Avenue north of Alta Loma Drive, reports the Pasadena Star-News, when they found human skeletal remains. The bones "appeared to have been there for several months," says Sgt. Angela Shepherd of the Crescenta Valley sheriff's station.
