Vegan Waffles and 'Chicken' | All Photos by Zach Behrens/LAist All good things come from the Valley first. Vegan and vegetarian restaurants are starting to become one of the regulars among sushi and Thai joints across Los Angeles neighborhoods. And on Thursday, Silver Lake got theirs with Flore Vegan Cuisine (additionally, Intelligentsia Coffee opened yesterday one block north). Veggies are rejoicing to once again eat owner and Chef Miranda's cuisine after selling Tierra Cafe last year in Downtown (which is still open under new management). She has now brought forth a vegan restaurant......

After eleven years in business, Real Food Daily is now a staple for Southland health nuts. It's one of the few places in LA that specializes exclusively in creating Vegan food. The West Hollywood location is not only Vegan but Kosher-certified. Most people cringe at either word--thinking somehow healthy food can't be fun. RFD is here to prove them wrong. When you first glance at the menu, you'll be surprised to see items like......

LAist is going on a delicious spree around la la land from A to Z. This week, we continue with...C is for California Vegan. One of LAist's favorite local Indian restaurants, All India Cafe, is on the second floor of a mini mall at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Bundy. There is nothing else worth eating in the mini-mall, except, perhaps a fast-food Hawaiian barbecue place. But even that doesn't look all......
