Somewhere over the rainbow has been discovered. It's a magical place called Culver City. Dodge the poppies and be mindful of apple-throwing trees as you make your way to Sony Pictures Entertainment where a 94-foot tall sculpture of a rainbow will be installed on the lot, according to the Daily Breeze.

Twice the gold in waiting pots at the end? A belated nod to the signing of the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"? Or just science in action in the skies? The tail end of this heat wave has brought the Southland some unexpected, but nice weather. Commuters stuck in evening rush hour in parts of Los Angeles saw double rainbows and an intensely beautiful sunset. In Sherman Oaks and Studio City, there was rain, thunder and lightning. 'Weird Rainbow' in OC Skies is Phenom Called 'Sundog'
The OC Register's Science Dude was hit with reports of readers spotting a "weird rainbow" in the skies above the region.
He explains what people saw today is an " unusual atmospheric phenomenon" known as a parhelia or "sundog."
