Anna David Knows A Lot About Prostitutes

No More Prostitutes? Craigslist Dropping 'Erotic Services'

Well, you know how it goes. The world's oldest profession will never cease, even if Craigslist, in an agreement with most U.S. state attorney generals, nixes their "erotic services" category in favor of a monitored "adult" one. This comes amid controversy surrounding the Craigslist Killer incident on the East Coast when a medical student from Boston was charged with killing a masseuse he met off the site. But, as ZDNet Government Richard Koman notes, this move does little to stop violence: "the AGs seem more concerned with protecting morals than lives."

Watch out Mayor Villaraigosa. After yesterday's rumors about Ashley Alexandra Dupre setting her sights on MTV reality TV fame, the New York Post found the high-class hooker who serviced former Governor Eliot Spitzer at the Jersey Shore. While she only offered a "coy giggle" and a "no comment" when asked about reality show plans, her mom said, "You'll have to follow her out to LA." (Originally reported on Gothamist)

Not even a week after her unmasking, the woman who serviced New York Governor Eliot Spitzer is posing scantily clad in an exclusive New York Post photo shoot. And as many predicted, no doubt, this will all lead to fame, of some sort, for call girl Ashley Alexandra Dupre who went by the name 'Kristen' while working for the Emperors VIP Club. Access Hollywood executive producer Rob Silverstein told the NY Daily News, "At the end of the day, this could be in some sick way a big break for her."

As reported yesterday in the midst of New York Governor Eliot Spitzer's scandal where he was busted for his involvement in a prostitution ring, the same high-scale service he used has ties in Los Angeles as well as Washington, DC, Miami, London and Paris.

It is estimated that 200 firms, 6000 workers and 1200 actors produce 4000-7000 adult films a year in Los Angeles. Yes, there are more porn-related, adult industry jobs than software jobs in this town. With $4.3 billion in sales and rentals (which is still nothing compared to the $12 Billion made from toys and books), the Adult Entertainment Industry puts $4 billion in revenue back into the local economy. “It’s in an industry producing...

The three woman, all Los Angeles residents, allegedly advertised their services on Craigslist.com, and met the men in a two-bedroom unit at the Villa Coronado apartment homes in Irvine, authorities said.

Even though "experts" are saying that Chicago will be the US city that the USOC will choose to represent the USA as host city nominee for the 2016 Summer Games, today the California State Senate approved a quarter-billion dollar guarantee if LA does get the nod. From an excited LA2016 press release: The California State Senate today voted overwhelmingly in favor of AB300, previously approved 65-1 by the State Assembly, which authorizes $250 million as...

In what could turn out to be a long, expensive, and revealing lawsuit, Tommy Lasorda, the great former manager of the LA Dodgers, swears that he will sue if the tell-all autobiography "Secrets of a Hollywood Super Madam" is released on Thursday. Hollywood madam Jody "Babydol" Gibson was popped eight years ago for pimping out high-priced hookers, porn stars, and Playboy models throughout 16 states.
