Heads up, motorists (and pedestrians), a full street closure has been announced for all lanes of Hollywood Boulevard tomorrow between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive.

The Rundown On This Week's Hottest Clubs
The fine folks of The Rundown made a list of new n' noteworthy Los Angeles drinking and cavorting establishments for you. The nightlife circuit begins with 1616, a new, non-nudie spot from the Spearmint Rhino family and Premiere, a two-story, Spanish-themed club with flamenco girls and celebrity clientele. A "'70s lumberjack erotica" vibe from The Falls (complete with tree stumps and digital waterfall) is happening on Spring St., while a Dublin's redux finds the former Sunset Strip institution located downtown with 65 on-tap beers priced to sell starting at $3. Daintier drunks, try Big Bar cozied into the Alcove in Los Feliz.

The fans pressed against the barricades at Hollywood Boulevard movie premieres usually clamor for hunky leading men and sexy leading ladies, hoping to catch the attention of their favorite hot star they typically only get to see on celebrity buzz sites and in gossip rags.

Last Wednesday, Hello Stranger (MySpace) frontwoman Juliette Commagere (MySpace) -- backed by a 13 piece band that includes Hello Stranger bandmembers Joachim Cooder and Ben Messelbeck, as well as Obi Best (MySpace) frontwoman Alex Lilly on backing vocals and keyboards, not to mention quartets of horns and strings -- performed her solo act at Spaceland (MySpace) in Silver Lake. Opening for Commagere were Charlie Wadhams (MySpace) and the aforementioned Obi Best, who premiered their music video "It's Because of People Like You."

This past Wednesday night, stars convened at the Arclight Theaters in Hollywood for the Los Angeles Premiere of The Hammer, starring radio/TV personality Adam Carolla. (Read the LAist review of the movie.) The event drew a healthy number of famous faces, including Jimmy Kimmel, Sarah Silverman, Carson Daly, David Allen Grier, Dr. Drew Pinskey, Jeffrey Ross, Joel McHale, Mark Walberg, Julianne Hough (Adam's dance partner on Dancing with the Stars), David Koechner, Christopher Titus, John Salley, Bill Simmons, Camryn Manheim, and Jane Lynch, along with the cast, director and producers of the film. After watching the premiere, guests gathered in the Arclight lounge and afterparty and enjoyed movie-themed cocktails, compliments of Stoli Vodka.
