"We're trying to get the freeway open early this evening. It's really hard to say an exact time."

A large pothole reported near the center divider on the northbound 110 Freeway yesterday evening turned into a full blown sinkhole overnight, prompting the complete closure of the northbound 110 Freeway near Fair Oaks Drive at the tail end of the freeway before it hits surface streets in South Pasadena.
