As fires continue to burn, offshore and onshore winds are expected to push smoke throughout the region. The South Coast Air Quality Management District says you should exercise caution and avoid unnecessary outdoor activities in areas directly impacted by smoke. What that means is if you can see it or smell it, then take the warning seriously.

We brought our family, checked out the farm animals and attractions and oh my freaking god, did we eat a lot of deep fried food and cheese fries. The month-long LA County Fair ends on Sunday with Saturday hosting the LG World Championships of Freestyle Motocross and a Filter concert (but they do cost extra). Here are a few more photos from the fair starting with this crazy 28-pound rabbit.

"People can lose their lives when they run, especially when windows or glass mirrors are near. You should duck, cover and hold."

We can't emphasize enough that this earthquake is considered a "moderate" one and caused relatively little damage throughout the region. However, with that said, some damage and a handful of minor injuries did happen. Today's quake, a 5.4, was just one percent of the energy of the 1994 Northridge 6.7 earthquake, according to CBS2.

The Jesus and Mary Chain got the band back together last night at the "Coachella Secret Show" in front of a capacity crowd at the Glass House in Pomona. This was their first live show since they broke up at the end of their infamous appearance at the (aptly named) House of Blues on the Sunset Strip in 1998. Last night the Reid Brothers started off rocky, kept it slow, and seemed generally disinterested...

What could be better than Thursday's upcoming "secret" pre-Coachella show at the Glass House with the Jesus and Mary Chain? We missed the Guns KROQ Inland Invasion metal fest. We're sure they were even better without all the guys whose names we know. We're sure Alice in Chains was better without their singer. But since we weren't there, we will remember Guns back in the day. This is GNR circa 1988 in Halifax Canada opening for Iron Maiden. Axl starts the tune by telling some fan to blow him, and then, almost in the...

Looks like Inland Invasion is going to be a quasi-metal onslaught, nearly as meaty as Ozzfest, but just like most things KROQ these days, a tad watered-down and lacking. Guns N' Roses are the headliners of the Sept 23rd festival, and they're lacking a good chunk of Guns N' Roses. Hell, you don't even get Buckethead any more. Irony abounds as bassist Tommy Stinson now plays with Guns -- his first band was... The...
