Dirk Hermann is passionate about his mushrooms. He claims to have the 'best fungi in town' and from the looks of his LA FungHi booth at the Plummer Park Farmers' Market, he just may be able to back up that bold statement. He sells varieties that are farmed and harvested in California. For many years Hermann worked as a chef. The back of his La FungHi business card even offers a recipe for preparing sauteed mushrooms.
Tomorrow is Holocaust Remembrance Day in LA
Tomorrow Los Angeles will take part in Holocaust Remembrance Day--called Yom Hashoah in Hebrew--in ceremonies around the city, with the largest one in California set for early Sunday afternoon in Pan Pacific Park.
