61-year-old Sharon Carpenter Nicholson died on the operating table of plastic surgeon Dr. Ehab Mohamed during a $100,000 day-long liposuction procedure raising further questions about patient safety, according to CBS. Mohamed has been the subject of several ongoing investigative reports questioning his credentials, medical practices, and "sky-high fees" including a claim that he charged $650,000 for a single procedure. LA Now reports that the state's medical board has moved to suspend Mohamed's license in light of Nicholson's death and has called the doctor an "imminent danger" to the public. more ›

OC Woman Gets Jail Time for Fake Boobs Fakery

Using fake plastic to pay for fake plastic (body parts) didn't pan out quite as planned for one OC woman. 30-year-old Laguna Niguel's Yvonne Jean Pampelllonne was sentenced yesterday to six months in jail for "using a fraudulent line of credit to obtain $12,000 in cosmetic surgery, including breast implants and liposuction," according to the Daily News. Pampellonne had pleaded guilty to charges of "burglary, grand theft and identity theft." While the judge ordered restitution, repayment is expected to come in the form of cash, not a return of the, uh, goods that were unlawfully obtained. more ›
