I wish I could say that I'm hungover this morning.
I can't.
I'm still drunk.
I have no idea where my phone is. I'm not exactly sure how I got home last night. Some random girl is sleeping in my couch.
I'm debating whether I should roll her onto the floor or just wake her up and push her out the door.
Hell, you only win the Super Bowl once in your lifetime, or at least that's what I'm sure I told myself last night.
Green Bay Are Champions of the World: A Displaced Fan's Perspective
Ads It Up: Best Super Bowl XLV 2011 Commercials [Updated]
Taunted pugs, head traumas, groin traumas, mini-Darth Vader, Kenny G as prison-riot suppression, pro wrestlers in a folding chair factory, a Groupon "reject" and MORE! Not too shabby a showing for the start of the 2011 Super Bowl XLV ads on FOX. Stay tuned to LAist as we continue to update this post with more high-priced commercial hilarity. Audi's "luxury prison" is so far the clear winner. Those dogs, my spleen, hit 'em with the Kenny G. Hiiiii-larious. And now, the videos...
Midnight Movie: A Superbowl Roethlisburger
The evil geniuses at Epic Meal Time have made a very special burger for Sunday's Green Bay Packers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Superbowl. Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has food in his last name, so the fellas had no choice but to cook up a 100,000+ calorie burger.
Why the Green Bay Packers Will Put The Chicago Bears Out of Their Misery
“The Chicago Bears get no respect.”
We've heard the refrain a hundred times. You know why the Chicago Bears don't get any respect? Because the Chicago Bears don't deserve any respect.
Yes, they have a pretty nice defense. Sure, they have one of the best return men of all time. That doesn't mean they belong in the NFC Championship game, much less the Super Bowl.
LAst Night's Action: Dodgers Power Past Reds
LA Dodgers defeat Cincinnati Reds 14-6. While Hiroki Kuroda has arguably been the Dodgers’ best starter early in the season, he wasn’t quite so sharp in his third start of the season. Fortunately the Dodgers offense continued to go on overdrive making up for the six runs Kuroda gave up. Rafael Furcal went 3-for-5 going a homer short of the cycle, while both Andre Ethier and Matt Kemp homered. The Dodgers scored at least one run in every inning except for the fourth inning when they were retired in order. Surprisingly enough the Dodgers bullpen pitched 3 1/3 innings without giving up a run - the two runs that scored when George Sherrill gave up the single to Orlando Cabrera were charged to Kuroda. The Dodgers defense was also shaky with two errors which gave the Reds three unearned runs.
LAst Night's Action: Lakers Stymied by Rockets, Lose Second Straight
Houston Rockets defeat LA Lakers 101-91. Rockets guard Aaron Brook blistered the Lakers for a career high 33 points as the Rockets ran circles around the Lakers and their sloppy offense. Ron Artest led the Lakers with 22 points while Andrew Bynum scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Kobe Bryant had a human game with 18 points. The Rockets, despite their tallest player barely clearing Prince sans platforms, out-rebounded the Lakers 60-38. That will do you in.
Steelers Are on Top of the World
In the preview of the Super Bowl I wrote on Saturday, I predicted the worst. I thought the Arizona Cardinal defense would have no answers to the Pittsburgh Steelers defense, and the Steelers led by their inept offensive line would just bumble through the game. Fortunately for all the football fans and bystanders on Sunday my predicted score of 3-2 didn’t happen.
LAist's Super Bowl XLIII Preview
Let’s be frank about the Super Bowl. Despite all the hype that surrounds the game it usually is a dud of a game.
LAst Night's Action: Lakers Beat the LeBrons
LA Lakers defeat Cleveland Cavaliers 105-88. I'll have more on this game later today, but the Lakers prove they are a tough team.
It's Playoff Season Folks!
NFL playoffs are here! Which means that Superbowl XLII is right around the corner. This year's Superbowl is going to be played in Arizona on February 3, 2007 and it was recently announced that Tom Petty will be playing the halftime show.
