TV Junkie: 'What's On Your Plate?' Premieres Saturday; Anti-Choice/Anti-Gay Bowl Still Happening on Sunday

Yes, a football game happens on Sunday and we feel we've already written enough about the Anti-Choice/Anti-Gay Bowl and the dang thing seems to occupy every other moment on the TV anyway. It's our job to point out the not-so-obvious and this weekend, one of those items happens to be the broadcast premiere of a documentary called What's On Your Plate? on Planet Green on Saturday at 7pm (and Sunday at 11am). more ›

After inviting Tom Hanks, Diane Keaton, Eugene Levy, Carl Reiner, Ricky Jay, and about seventy other friends for a party at his Los Angeles home, the guests were surprised with a wedding. Martin married writer and former New Yorker staffer Anne Stringfield. The ceremony was officiated by former Nebraska senator Bob Kerrey. SNL head honcho Lorne Michaels served as the best man. The bride wore Vera Wang while Martin donned his Inspector Clouseau mustache. more ›

Santa Monica Drive-In

We love being at the beach, but sometimes get bored with the perfect bodies, gorgeous sunsets, and lilting blue waters. Fortunately there is the Santa Monica Drive-In: free screenings of classic and relatively recent films. The screenings occur at the Pier every Tuesday through October 5 and are strictly family-friendly. The tickets for admission are free but you can also buy tickets for a raffle to benefit the Cancer Relief Fund. more ›
