Hundreds of Angelenos heeded the call of International Pillow Fight Day by assembling in Pershing Square, armed with pillows and many dressed in goofy get-ups. At exactly 3 p.m. the buzzer sounded, and it was every man, woman, and child for themselves as the blows began to land and the feathers flew. And boy, did those feathers fly!

                            

Several hundred people squared off in Pershing Square yesterday to help celebrate International Pillowfight Day. LAist brought you a wonderful photo essay on the event last night. And since about 500 of the 300 people at the pillowfight had cameras, I suspect these aren't the last photos you will be seeing from the event.

                         

In celebration of World Pillow Fight Day, hundreds of spring-fevered revelers duked it out in Pershing Square 'til they were "ankle-deep in feathers."

  • Saturday, 3 p.m.: Bring your pillow to Pershing Square for Los Angeles Pillow Fight Day. People are meeting up at local bars at 1 p.m. to start the party early.
