LAst Night's Action: Kings Dig Deep in Philly

LA Kings defeat Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 (OT). It is hard to blame the Kings for not playing their best hockey. They opened the season playing two games in Europe and are finishing two games on the East Coast. In fact they haven’t been in Southern California since Sept. 30. But the Kings dug in and snuck out of the Wells Fargo Center with the win with the aid of the returning son Mike Richards. more ›

Eric Gordon left the game with a shoulder injury and Baron Davis fouled out for the Clips, but they managed to stun the basketball world and defeat the reigning champs. The Clippers turned the ball over eight less time than the Celtics and they outscored the Celtics by a huge margin in the paint. Zach Randolph led all scorers with 30 points with four other Clips scoring in double figures. more ›

LAst Night's Action: Phillies Draw First Blood

Philadelphia Phillies defeat LA Dodgers 3-2. In a well pitched game, any mistake made is amplified. Unfortunately for the Dodgers, Derek Lowe just made one too many mistakes. The Dodgers got things started with back-to-back one out doubles by Andre Ethier and Manny Ramirez taking a 1-0 lead. In the fourth inning they showed their improved execution after Matt Kemp hit a second to advance to third on a Casey Blake grounder and Blake DeWitt sacrifice fly. But that sixth inning got to Lowe leaving two sinkerballs up for a two-run homer to Chase Utley and a solo go-ahead homer to Pat Burrell. It's only game one so there's no need to panic. more ›

Rowing into LA?

But all the talk swirling around the Kings right now is centered on Philadelphia Flyers star Jeremy Roenick. The Kings are reportedly working on a trade for the loud-mouthed center. While Roenick isn't quite what he used to be, he'd be the team's highest profile player since Wayne Gretzky. more ›
