Brittany Murphy Used Alias to Get Hundreds of Pills a Month
Actress Brittany Murphy was taking hundreds of prescription pills a month prior to her death, and was even using an alias to obtain additional and often duplicate scrips, according to TMZ. The gossip site notes: "Pharmacy records show Murphy was getting regular scrips for hydrocodone (Vicodin), clonazepam and Klonopin (anti-anxiety), and Vicoprofen (a Vicodin/ibuprofen combo) -- doubling up on some prescriptions on certain months," in quantities sometimes as much as 100-300 of each drug. Murphy used the name "Lola Manilow Murphy -- at Eddie's Pharmacy in Los Angeles for nearly two years ... before the pharmacy finally cut her off 4 months before her death." The 32-year-old actress died on December 20th.

Why were 37 cyclists detained last Saturday night after a manager at the CVS on Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks allegedly called about a cyclist looking fellow shoplifting, but with little description other than that. When police arrived, they detained and searched people of all ages, race, height and gender.
