Though its elliptical ending caused a bit of a backlash, I can't imagine any serious film fan not enjoying the hell out of finally ties up all the loose ends of the original that have been bedeviling viewers for nigh on two decades.

I certainly can't speak for anyone else, but is sure to go down as one of the best films in what has already been a very strong year--maybe the finest since 1999.

First of all, if you haven't seen the wonderful make plans to do so right away. It is one of the rare films that exploits the full power of cinema to transport you into another world and into the consciousness of another person (my enthusiastic review of it is here, tickets here, preview here, music here).
