Winds knocked a 2,000 pound top of a palm tree onto a house in Boyle Heights, partially crashing through the roof, injuring two women. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the 3 a.m. incident to free one women and take at least one to the hospital with minor injuries. "The green fronds are spread across the roof like a giant centerpiece," the Associated Press described. more ›
