It's a dream come true for the woman known as OctoMom: A European production company has hired the 14 children of the OC's Nadya Suleman and papers have been signed and filed guaranteeing each kid a $250 a day salary for their upcoming work in a reality TV show, reports the LA Times. The Suleman brood, including the octuplets born amid a flurry of flashbulbs and headlines earlier this year, will begin work September 1st.

No, she won't just go away: Nadya Suleman, aka OctoMom, is keeping her name in the press thanks to a pair of lawsuits going on in Orange County regarding her children and their being filmed. "A child-labor activist has filed suit against Suleman in Orange County Superior Court, alleging that video shot of her children violates a law aimed at protecting child entertainers from overwork. The suit seeks to create an independent trust for the children," LA Now reports.

The reality is setting in. "I screwed myself. I screwed up my life, I screwed up my kids' lives," Nadya Suleman told a RadarOnline videographer about mistakes she's made. "I have to put on this strong facade and I have to pretend like I don't regret it." The conversation was mainly about how she never informed the biological father she was using his sperm after the first six children. "I went behind his back and used them all. He didn't want me to. I feel so much guilt for that." The said unidentified father is currently married and has children with his spouse.

The California Department of Public Health today announced a quarter-million dollar fine given to Kaiser Permanente Bellflower Hospital after "the hospital compromised the privacy of a patient when 21 employees and two physicians improperly accessed records." That patient was "Octomom" Nadya Suleman This is the first time a penalty has been assessed under new patient privacy laws went into effect last year when it was signed by Governor Schwarzenegger. "Medical privacy is a fundamental right and a critical component of quality medical care in California,” said Dr. Mark Horton, director of CDPH, in a news release. “We are very concerned with violations of patient confidentiality and their potential harm to the residents of California.”

It wasn't the $25,000 the LAPD spent to help Britney Spears get to the hospital last year, but the La Habra police department estimates that more than $4,000 in resources have been used to help Octomom Nadya Suleman. Specifically, $4,000 has been spent on overtime for officers, but other costs such as responding to calls were not factored, says the Pasadena Star News. "Virtually all police services are free to residents of the community," said Cindy Knapp, spokeswoman for the La Habra Police Department. But she is looking for a buyer for her labor room video (hey, girl's gotta eat...and feed her 14 children) for the tidy sum of $1 million. Since they don't have the real thing (phew!) “It was like a ghost town,” a neighbor of Octomom Nadya Suleman told the LA Times. “We liked it because it was a nice area, it was tranquil.” Not anymore, thanks to the media frenzy surrounding the large family in Whittier. Traffic, parking, and people are all over the place. It's gotten so bad, one exasperated neighbor got a little insane, took a shotgun and began shouting at the media.

Whittier police have revealed that they have made multiple visits to the home of OctoMom Nadya Suleman in the past 14 months, cbs2.com is reporting. Suleman, whose flock grew to 14 when she gave birth to octuplets at the end of January, has six kids aged 2-7.

She wants fame through the camera lens, so maybe this deal is more to her liking than a non-profit's offer of free round-the-clock childcare: Local adult industry company Vivid Entertainment has offered OctoMom Nadya Suleman up to $1 million to star in a film for their Vivid-Celeb imprint line, according to TMZ.

The non-profit group Angels in Waiting thought they had an offer "OctoMom" Nadya Suleman couldn't refuse: "round-the-clock nursing care to her 14 children, while allowing her entire family to live in a home together," according to the Press-Telegram.

She wanted $2 million in endorsements and appearance fees, but now Nadya Suleman, aka OctoMom, just wants her 8 newborn babies. The 33-year-old Whittier woman apparently told TV therapist Dr. Phil McGraw that she feared Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Bellflower might not release the babies to her, according to the Associated Press (via Huffington Post).

First Angela Suleman said her daughter Nadya was "obsessed" with having kids and that she wouldn't be around to help her when her octuplets came home, then they seemed to have kissed and made up. But now TMZ is reporting that Mrs. Suleman hasn't been paying the mortgage during the months of her only daughter's most recent pregnancy. In fact, the gossip site explains: "According to documents filed earlier this month, OctoGrandma (who owns the house) hasn't made any payments on her home since May, 2008 -- she's behind $23,224.98."
