As the red carpet action wound down at the NME awards Wednesday, local band The Virginia City Revival made the entrance of the evening!

                         

Last night the El Rey Theater was host to British music magazine NME's first US awards. You can find the list of award winners at Twisted Ear, since it seems like the sudden attention has crashed NME's website. For a recap of the awards show, check out MOG.

There's lots of music today, but not all are shows. Billy Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin of The Smashing Pumpkins were inducted into Hollywood's RockWalk at noon today on Sunset Blvd. Then tonight, NME brings its awards show to the U.S. for the first time at El Rey Theatre. Whoa, Jane's Addiction will be playing.
