And, lastly, local experimental electronic duo Hecuba will be performing at the Echo with the equally exploratory Echo Park-bred electronic outfit Rainbow^Arabia. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Bootleg Theater to catch Chicago's own alt-country troubadour Cass McCombs. LAist favorites, San Francisco-based alt-pop act Girls.

Chicago's own alt-country troubadour Cass McCombs is poised to take on the Bootleg Theater with none other than San Francisco-based alt-pop act Girls. And, lastly, Raconteurs guitarist, Michigan-bred singer-songwriter Brendan Benson will be gracing the Troubadour.

And, lastly, LA-based alternative rockers the 88 will be continuing their month-long residency at Spaceland. But we strongly suggest heading over to Amoeba Music in Hollywood to catch influential Brazilian psychedelic rock band Os Mutantes (LAist Review).

And, lastly, Echo Park's own female rocker Queen Kwong will be gracing Silver Factory Studios. But we strongly suggest heading over to Tony’s Bar in Downtown to catch LAist favorites the Henry Clay People (Review, #2, #3, #4), who will be performing for this weekend's edition of Little Radio Summercamp. Local indie rockers the Monolators (LAist Review, #2) are slated to kick things off.

After falling sick and canceling two shows, Trent Reznor is getting better and this afternoon announced the rescheduled dates for the farewell tour, which ends here in Los Angeles. "Sorry about the hassles with the show not happening last night and tomorrow's rescheduling," he wrote on the band's webpage. "If it would have been possible to pull these off, I would have. Anyway, here's the new plan. I appreciate your patience and understanding - we're attempting to make sure that everyone has the best experience possible and we're at full power." Those dates include 9/6 at the Echoplex (unchanged), 9/8 at the Henry Fonda (rescheduled date) and 9/10 The Wiltern (rescheduled date). Trent Reznor has fallen ill, forcing Nine Inch Nails' Wave Goodbye tour to be put on hold. Reznor said he had a cold during last night's concert at the Palladium, which included an appearance by Gary Numan joining NIN on Numan's "Cars." Soon after the show ended the band released the following message on its website:

Illinois-bred Smashing Pumpkins front man Billy Corgan will be playing to a sold-out crowd at the Hotel Café. And, lastly, the sixth annual F Yeah Fest, which boasts a bevy of artists including: the Black Lips, Tim & Eric, No Age, Lightning Bolt, Lucero, Converge, the Thermals, Glass Candy, Fucked Up, Matt Skiba, Times New Viking, Japanther, Mika Miko, Telepathe, Crystal Antlers, Darker My Love, AA Bondy, Wavves, Dios, Peanut Butter Wolf, the Strange Boys, Ninjasonik, Cold Cave, Har Mar Superstar, Avi Buffalo and Kurt Vile, will be taking place at Los Angeles State Historic Park. And, lastly, local indie rock act Division Day (LAist Review, #2, #3) will be gracing Spaceland with LA-based indie pop outfit and labelmates Bad Veins for this week's edition of Club NME.

A newsbit posted this morning on OC Metblogs about Disney prepping a third amusement park called DisneySea America--a venture based around water-themed rides and attractions--turned out to be more for the birds than the fish. The OC Register responded to the ensuing hubub: "Everyone can calm down. There’s no third Disney theme park on the way to Anaheim." Check your calendars, people. That's right, it's April 1st. A job listing popped on Craigslist yesterday that might be music to the right web and graphics dork's ears. It seems Nine Inch Nails is on the prowl for "an internet-savvy web and graphics assistant who will work with an art director on a wide variety of tasks relating to web development, graphic design, video editing/production, and online marketing."

Trent Reznor is a free man. In the year since he officially released his last album -- Year Zero -- under contract to Interscope Records, Reznor, 42, developed an Alternate Reality Game built around Year Zero and released a Year Zero remix CD which included a data disc with raw WAV files meant to encourage mass manipulation. He also produced and performed on Saul Williams' excellent free-or-$5 downloadable.
