For the most part this Super Bowl was a bit of a letdown for me.
I was at a friend’s house. She is moments away from popping out an offspring from her loins, much like MIA was when she performed at the Grammys several years ago. Well MIA certainly did make a splash during halftime with her bird, but that’s beside the point.

Sunday, Holy Sunday in Sports
There was something heavenly about Sunday, so much so it almost made me a believer.
A day after owner Al Davis died, it seemed like his hands were all over the Oakland Raiders’ 25-20 win over the Houston Texans. They were clearly struggling in the first half not getting their first first-down until 1:46 left in the first half. If not for the leg of Sebastian Janikowski and his 54-yard and 55-yard field goals, it would have been a rout.

LAst Night's Action: The Return of the NFL
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, and holy shitballs is my heart fonder of the NFL right now.
The NFL schedulers were geniuses in scheduling the New Orleans Saints to visit the Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers. After the threat of a lost season, people don’t want to see 3-2 defensive quagmires. They want to see offense, offense and more offense. With the Packers beating the Saints 42-34, this game delivered.
Is AEG Lagging On Getting DTLA Stadium Project Going?
It seemed like things couldn't get going fast enough earlier this year when the Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) was trying to sell Los Angeles leaders and residents on building another sports stadium at their Downtown L.A. Live campus. They gave it a name, and Angelenos the hardsell, and the hunt for an NFL team to call it home continued.

New Downtown Events Center Will Benefit AEG But What About Us?
We can be certain the center would greatly benefit AEG, as it would serve as a great incentive and standing advertisement to its hundreds of overpriced condos and rental units in the area. But what is the benefit to taxpayers?

Was Dallas a Swan Song?
Another Super Bowl has come and gone with the Green Bay Packers winning the hardware and the glory. Another Super Bowl has come and gone where I sit through all the annoyance of the ancillary entertainment surrounding the spectacle. Another Super Bowl has come and gone with the inane questions fielded by once-a-year viewers such as, “Why are they kicking the ball,” or, “How do you tell the teams apart? They’re wearing the same color pants!”
