Kings Have a Devil of a Time

Kings Have a Devil of a Time

No one expected the Kings’ shutout streak to last. Furthermore no one expected backup goaltender Jonathan Bernier to be playing out of his mind like Jonathan Quick has provided so far this season. No one even expected the Kings to keep winning. But what the Kings did on the ice in their 3-0 loss to the New Jersey Devils, that was embarrassing. more ›

LAst Night's Action: Kings Not Quick in Shootout

What Might Have Been for the Kings

What Might Have Been for the Kings

The Kings offered unrestricted free agent Ilya Kovalchuk $80 million for 15 years during the offseason trying to add an attacker to their top line. Kovi spurned the Kings' offer instead signing a 17-year, $102 million deal with the New Jersey Devils, and once that deal was invalidated by the NHL for circumventing salary cap rules he signed a 15-year, $100 million deal. more ›

LAst Night's Action: Angels Power Past New York

LAst Night's Action: Angels Power Past New York

LA Angels defeat NY Yankees 10-2. Making his first start for the Angels since September 29, Sean O’Sullivan (1-0) filled in from the bullpen for a struggling Scott Kazmir and did a good job. It didn’t look good in the first inning when Sullivan gave up two runs including a Nick Swisher solo homer, but the only thing he gave up the rest of the way was a walk in the fifth inning to Brett Gardner that was erased by a double play ball hit by Derek Jeter. Meanwhile the Angels busted out of the yard with two-run homers by Maicer Izturis in the fourth inning, Mike Napoli in the sixth inning and Hideki Matsui in the seventh inning. The impressive Phil Hughes (11-3) was anything but giving up six runs his five-plus innings pitched. more ›

LAst Night's Action: Philly Stuns Lakers

LAst Night's Action: Philly Stuns Lakers

Philadelphia 76ers defeat LA Lakers 94-93. With a foul to give the Lakers let Andre Iguodala get off a three pointer at the end of the game to burn them. Mind you this is after Kobe drained a jumper for the lead with six seconds left. The Lakers had led by as many as 14 points early in the fourth quarter but let it slip away with very sloppy play. After their last game Phil Jackson commented on the Laker's lack of a killer instinct. If this game wasn't evidence of that...As Stu Lantz said at the end of the FSWest broadcast there was a lot of green in the building. What the hell is wrong with you Lakers fans? How the hell do you think it's remotely appropriate to wear green in the Staples Center? Dumbasses. more ›
