Comic Jimmy Pardo hosts the behind-the-Coco-scenes series, The Pardo Patrol, opens “Conan” for Mr. O’Brien’s live audience, hosts the long-running podcast, Never Not Funny, and is a frequent performer at the UCB Theatre. All efforts are smart and consistently hilarious. And, oh yeah, he's a charitable gentlemen.
Jimmy Pardo On Working for Conan, Energy Drinks, and Raising Money for Smiles With His Pardcast-a-Thon
LAist Interview: Jimmy Pardo of 'Conan' & 'Never Not Funny'
Jimmy Pardo is the opener for TBS' "Conan" and he's recently started a web series on TeamCoco.com called "The Pardo Patrol" that we hope to see a lot more of. We talked with Pardo about his work on "Conan" as well as his extremely popular podcast "Never Not Funny."
Jimmy Pardo and Conan O'Brien's War For Late Night
On a new chapter of A Drink With Dave, host Dave Holmes shares a beverage and a chat (that's how the web program works) with LAist-approved comic Jimmy Pardo. For the nine month run of The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, Pardo was the in-studio opening act for O'Brien. In this Drink, Pardo shares his behind-the-scenes experience on the show's cancellation. Now performing the same gig for Conan on "Conan," Pardo also hosts the wonderful podcast Never Not Funny. Dave Holmes, who you may recognize from a half-decade on MTV, recently detailed his career journey on this author's podcast, The Gentlemen's Club.
Celebrate Comedy, Fight Hunger
Scott Aukerman (LAist Interview) and BJ Porter want to help feed hungry locals. To do so they’ve assembled a super-team of funny friends from their weekly stand-up show, Comedy Death-Ray, to help raise money for the LA FoodBank, an agency who will help 1.6 million LA Country residents this year.
There’s a Christmas CD, a big live show, and chances to win unique comedy experiences via eBay. Proceeds from all three will go to the LA FoodBank. A donation page is live for those who don’t like to laugh yet like to feed the hungry.
Jimmy Pardo Will Go All Night (Again)
Last time LAist chatted with Jimmy Pardo, the comedian was never not having fun.
He held two excited jobs: hosting the popular podcast Never Not Funny (The Pardcast,) and warming up The Tonight Show's live audience for Conan O’Brien. Now, for Pardo, life is similarly fun but looks a little different. Never Not Funny is still a comedy juggernaut in MP3, though Pardo no longer spends his days at NBC. He's over on the Warner Brothers' lot, again loosening audiences for Mr. O'Brien, now on TBS' "Conan."
Midnight Movie: Free Hamm in MP3
Actor Jon Hamm's (Mad Men's Don Draper, obviously) secret has started to slip out over the last few years. The handsome, Emmy-nominated thespian is hilarious.
Hamm was a recent guest on Never Not Funny, the highly successful comedy (audio and video) podcast hosted by stand-up Jimmy Pardo (LAist Interview,) and produced by Matt Belkap. The rapid-fire three-way banter reveals that, while Pardo has legendary timing and quickness (to which Belknap is a great compliment,) Hamm's comedy chops are enough to earn him comedic leading-man consideration.
Tonight: Never Not Funny's Pardcast-a-Thon
Comedian Jimmy Pardo's (LAist Interview) popular and hilarious podcast, Never Not Funny, hosts its first ever all-night webcast telethon tonight (Pardcast-a-thon) from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. This all-nighter is a fundraiser to benefit The Smile Train, a charity focused on repairing the cleft lip and palates of afflicted children in developing nations.
Meet Jimmy Pardo: Never Not Having Fun
Pardo’s Monday-through-Friday gig is “The Tonight Show”'s warm-up comedian, where he cracks up the studio audience before Conan O’Brien does more of the same. He’s also one of the few financially successful podcasters, hosting the award-winning weekly show, “Never Not Funny” (”The Pardcast,”) alongside co-host Matt Belknap.
