Last night The Mods and Rockers Film Festival started out with a bang. Local magic man Martin Lewis kicked out the jams once again. The evening started with out-takes from The Rutles: All you Need is Cash. There are so many subtleties missed the first time around, it was still enjoyable to watch the clips again.

Last night The Seventh Python, a documentary following the career of Neil Innes, premiered at the Mods and Rockers Film Festival. LAist interviewed Innes Wednesday.

Neil Innes is nothing if not a gentleman, a distinctly British one at that.

Monday The Mods and Rockers Film Festival pulled out all the stops, and reunited The Rutles for the 30-year anniversary screening of the film All You Need is Cash at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood.

March 2008 marks the 30th anniversary of the heady days when those loveable moptops - Dirk, Nasty, Stig and Barry conquered America with The Rutles: All You Need is Cash.
