Tonight Australian hard rockers AC/DC will be coming through the Forum. Chicago-based pop punk outfit Fall Out Boy are slated to perform at the Troubadour. And speaking of Chi-town, the Plain White T's will be rocking out at the Roxy. But we strongly suggest that you head over to Spaceland tonight for the Free Monday Night Residency. LA locals the Movies are so good we might just pick them every Monday night.

Nick Adler of the Roxy may have been one of first local music venues to venture out into the Twitterverse, but others are quickly following suit. One of them is Scott Sterling, promoter of The Fold in Silver Lake that books shows at the Silverlake Lounge, Tangier, Redwood, El Cid and Bordello.

As one of the best music venues closed its doors last month, another one began to prepare to take over the space, possibly ensuring the Westside a chance to keep its hip factor, at least in the music scene. Louis and Netty Ryan, the owners of the Temple Bar, have passed the keys on to another couple, Alex Fieglein and Sabrina Roark, who are set to be married soon, but plan on spending their time getting to know patrons at the club by bartending and developing new friendships.

After over 100 calls to police, 44 arrests and a general bummer in quality of life over the last year (plus a murder last year), a West Hollywood Councilman is proposing to revoke the House of Blues Sunset Strip location's business license, according to the WeHoNews. Councilmember John Heilman introduced the motion that will be debated tonight.

Beck, who tends to throw secret and unannounced (but somehow always announced) warm-up shows in smaller Silver Lake venues might be playing Spaceland on Thursday, September 18. A comment left on a LosAnjealous post hints that a special guest "might be a warm up show for beck. He is playing street scene and the bowl that weekend."

How the hell did a fight break out last night after Three 6 Mafia's show at the House of Blues in West Hollywood? The brawl led to the crowd fleeing the building with one woman getting trampled. Have you been to this venue? Going through their security is tougher than the airport and sometimes lasts just as long.

On September 23, 1940, the Hollywood Palladium opened its doors for the first time with the then not-so-well-known Frank Sinatra singing with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra.

We've just heard some very bad news. The Temple Bar, one of the few music venues (and if not the best in town when it came to booking a truly eclectic mix) on the Westside, is set to close at the end of September. More details are forthcoming.
