Last night Mods and Rockers screened Space Movie. Before the film, astronaut Buzz Aldrin gave a brief introduction to the evening, encouraging us to continue space exploration. Then director Tony Palmer did a Q&A with organizer Martin Lewis about the making of the film. Brit Palmer encouraged Americans to have more pride in their space heroes.

      

Last night The Mods and Rockers Film Festival started out with a bang. Local magic man Martin Lewis kicked out the jams once again. The evening started with out-takes from The Rutles: All you Need is Cash. There are so many subtleties missed the first time around, it was still enjoyable to watch the clips again.

It's going to be a busy weekend for renowned rock author Domenic Priore; let's hope we can all keep up.

Last weekend LAists Elise and Bob attended the Mods and Rockers Film Festival at the Egyptian to see some of the early films of Steve Whitehead. We arrived in time to catch Spencer Davis perform his hits I'm a Man and Gimme Some Lovin during the free live concert in the courtyard.
