Tonight In Rock: Modest Mouse, Kinky, French Kicks, Miranda Lee Richards

Tonight Seattle-based indie rock outfit Modest Mouse will be performing at the Hollywood Palladium with the OC's own Japanese Motors. Mexican electro rockers Kinky are poised to headline the Henry Fonda Music Box. And, lastly, San Franciscan singer-songwriter Miranda Lee Richards will be concluding her month-long residency at Spaceland. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Troubadour to catch NY-based indie rockers French Kicks.

Tonight In Rock: Ben Lee, Juana Molina, Murder City Devils, Miranda Lee Richards

Tonight Australian musician/actor Ben Lee will be performing at Largo at the Coronet with musician/actress Mandy Moore. Seattle-based garage rockers Murder City Devils are poised to play to a sold-out crowd at the Henry Fonda Music Box with Brother Reade (LAist Interview, Review) in tow. And, lastly, San Franciscan singer-songwriter Miranda Lee Richards will be headlining Spaceland. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Troubadour to catch Argentine singer-songwriter Juana Molina.

Tonight In Rock: Cat Power, Miranda Lee Richards, Mark Lanegan, The Parson Redheads

Tonight Atlanta-based singer-songwriter Cat Power will be performing at the Avalon with Foreign Born side project Fool's Gold in tow. San Franciscan singer-songwriter Miranda Lee Richards is poised to grace the stage at Spaceland. Heavy crooner Mark Lanegan and Greg Dulli will be playing the Troubadour, presumably under the Twilight Singers moniker. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Echo to catch local pop rock outfit the Parson Red Heads. LA's own indie rockers the French Semester and Light FM will be kicking off the show.

Tonight In Rock: Razorlight, Miranda Lee Richards, Greg Laswell, Little Boots

Tonight Anglo-Swedish rockers Razorlight will be headlining a sold-out show at the Troubadour with locals Red Cortez in tow. San Franciscan-bred singer-songwriter Miranda Lee Richards is kicking off a month-long residency at Spaceland. And, lastly, LAist favorites Whispertown 2000 (LAist Interview, Review, #2) will be performing at the Hotel Café with San Diegan singer-songwriter Greg Laswell (LAist Interview, Review, #2, #3, #4, #5). But we strongly recommend heading over to Cinespace to catch English electro-pop sensation Little Boots.

Tonight, in what will be regarded as every metal aficionado's wet dream, Metallica (LAist Review) and the Sword (LAist Review) are kicking off a two-night stint at the Forum. NY-based bohemian pop rockers the Virgins (LAist Review) will be strutting their stuff at the Troubadour. Brooklyn-based hard rock trio Earl Greyhound are slated to headline the Hotel Café. And, lastly, Marathon Live will be throwing its Second Annual Musical Christmas Extravaganza, which features the Chapin Sisters and Miranda Lee Richards, at 3 of Clubs. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Airliner in Downtown to catch electronic mastermind Flying Lotus. You can expect to dance alongside a blather of chunky, tribal beats from 2008's tour de force Los Angeles.

Tonight Brazilian electro pop sensation CSS will be stopping through the Echoplex with Portland-based goobers Natalie Portman's Shaved Head. LA local Murs (LAist Interview) is poised to flow at the El Rey Theatre. Singer-songwriter Miranda Lee Richards will be gracing the stage at the Hotel Café. The Watkins Family (LAist Review) is slated to put on a special Christmas edition of their Family Hour at Largo at the Coronet. And, lastly, the gruff indie rock outfit known as Low vs Diamond (LAist Review) will be letting loose at the Troubadour with their Seattle friends Barcelona. But considering the "drastic" change in climate and the nature of the season, we strongly suggest heading over to Pershing Square for Spaceland On Ice. What better way to ring in the winter than with LA's own bluesy rock duo Rumspringa (LAist Review), who will be performing for free!

Tonight Atlanta-based R&B-pop sensation Usher will be charming the pants off ladies at Club Nokia in Downtown. LA-based singer-songwriter Miranda Lee Richards is gracing the tiny stage at Tangier. Texan indie rockers Tenlons Fort will be playing Mr. T's Bowl alongside two local singer-songwriters, Angela Correa (of Correatown) and Rachael Cantu. And Montreal-based noise rock band AIDS Wolf is plowing through the Smell. But we recommend stopping by the Troubadour to catch Halifax's own Wintersleep. The Canadian indie rock maestros will be opening for Portugal. The Man, who find themselves in the unfortunate position of sharing a hometown with a despicable woman—Wasilla, Alaska it is!
