After taking last week off because we were sure SXSW would release their master plan, we now return as there seems to be no end in sight to the band list embargo. We just read in the July 4-11, 2005 issue of "New York" magazine that singer-iconoclast Michelle Shocked has resettled in LA. Don't know who Michelle Shocked is? Well, she's just your garden variety "orginal punk-bluegrass artist with a big mouth," as "New York" put it. The magazine says her abode is "a Craftsman bungalow, decorated in a style she calls "hillbilly minimalism" which means austere design but sparkly colors."
