Tonight London-based electronic singer-songwriter Imogen Heap will be gracing the Greek Theatre. LA-bred all-female, retro 60s pop rock quartet The Like (LAist Review, #2, #3) are poised to headline the Troubadour in celebration of their recently-released Ronson/Greenwald-produced debut, 2010's Release Me. And, lastly, our dear friend Jody at When You Awake is at it again, always keeping busy; This time she's throwing a Beach Boys Tribute at the Bootleg Theater with Red Cortez (LAist Review, #2, #3, #4) , the Chapin Sisters, Leslie Stevens (of Leslie and the Badgers), Hi Ho Silver Oh, and of course the Parson Red Heads (LAist Review, #2, #3, #4) at the top of the bill. But we strongly suggest spending the day in the lovely confines of Pasadena—the city yours truly calls home—for this year's Make Music Pasadena Festival. It's one of the more beauteous Summer days here in Pasadena: cerulean skies, a slight breeze, and mind-numbingly temperate 70 degree conditions. Two of Brooklyn's finest, dance punk duo Matt and Kim (LAist Review) and indie rock trio the Antlers (LAist Review) will be performing, as well as a bevy of locals—including Warpaint, Voxhaul Broadcast, Breakestra, and Big Whup (LAist Review). And, what's more, it's freaking free!

Coachella: Day Three 04/18/10
The 2010 Coachella Music and Arts Festival capped off to a rather anticlimactic ending on Sunday night, with the standout performance of Atoms For Peace ending well before the rest of the festival did.
Kohoutek Music and Arts Festival Begins Tonight
Still suffering from the absence of Coachella? Have no fear, Kohoutek Music and Arts Festival is here! The free two-day event named after and in honor of the comet held every spring will be commencing tonight on the mounds at Pitzer College in Claremont. Long regarded by the 5Cs as "Little Coachella," the "Gem of the Inland Empire" or quite simply "Completely Fucking Awesome," the 35th annual Kohoutek Festival promises a bevy of prominent artists as well as local acts, spanning genres from indie rock to hip hop. Friday night features headliners such as Brooklyn's own dance punk duo Matt and Kim and local indie rock outfits the Henry Clay People and Voxhaul Broadcast. Saturday, on the other hand, touts an array of hip hop heavyweights like Blu and Mr. Lif. It's just about the closest thing you can get to being in the desert listening to great music with like-minded music aficionados.
Cut Copy @ Club Nokia March 11th
An ever-increasing workload, the recession’s effect on one’s monthly Amoeba habit, a rapidly approaching membership into the “mid-thirties” club - a million and one reasons to stop seeing live music as frequently as my liver could once withstand. But last year’s SXSW/Coachella springtime juggernaut left its indelible mark and a few bands moved to the top of the “must see again and again” list, Cut Copy’s electropop/dance rock eking out the top spot. Who doesn’t love a band you can jump around to? It’s like everything good about the 90s rave scene (without the glow sticks and wide-legged pants, natch) served up with a side of early 80s nu-wave synth.
