Martin Vasquez Named Chivas USA Head Coach
Chivas USA today announced the appointment of former assistant Martin Vasquez to the vacant Head Coach position. Vasquez follows Preki Radosvaljevic to become the fourth Head Coach in club history. A veteran of both the Mexican and U.S. soccer circles, his relationship with Chivas USA was originally established during the club's inaugural season in 2005, serving as assistant coach until 2007. Prior to his first encounter with the red-and-white, Vazquez was part of the coaching staff for the Galaxy, San Diego Spirit and Cal Poly Pomona.
