Cory Kennedy's Top 10 Best Things in LA in 2006
It's not that Cory Kennedy is an unlikely It girl, it's just that she's an unlikely California It girl, to some. Perhaps they prefer the ditzy blonde surfer girl, well LAist, and clearly everyone else cool, is down with the scrawny fun sixteen-year-old who always seems pleasantly wasted.
Mark "The Cobra Snake" Hunter's Top 10 Numbers
He can't help it that he takes better pictures than everyone. He can't help it that pretty girls want to hang out with him and pose. You should be happy that he's bff with Kid Millionaire, and pimping out the white rapper Mickey Avalon. Would you rather that he was hanging out with Joel Madden?
Infectious Indie
LAist dutifully got decked out last night in our latest hipster gear to check out the Subways at Cinespace. It happened to coincide with DJ Steve Aoki’s birthday party. What did this mean? Mayhem at the door until the doormen had the brilliant idea to only have one line instead of the Hollywood Three that seems to form all the time (one for the every-man, one for the kinda-special and one for whom no rules apply). It didn’t help that Cinespace had a private party until 11pm and only started letting people in at 11:30. But once the line started really moving you could hear a collective sigh of relief from the scenesters as they shuffled their way to the door.
LAist Interview: Mark 'The Cobrasnake' Hunter
Readers of the LA Weekly may already be familiar with the party photographs taken by Mark Hunter AKA Mark The Cobrasnake. Mark seems to frequent all the spaces where the young like to frolic and documents their fun on his website thecobrasnake.com. Click through his site, you may see someone you know doing something they shouldn't...
