Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department personnel and officials from the coroner's office found eight small bones in a ravine in Malibu Canyon this weekend, and it is possible they are further remains of Mitrice Richardson, according to Malibu Patch. Latice Sutton, the mother of CSU Fullerton student Mitrice Richardson, whose remains were found in August in Malibu Canyon after being missing for several months, is calling for the FBI to look at how the sheriff's deputies handled her daughter's case, according to the Daily News. The families of three missing persons are anxiously awaiting word if the human remains found inside Malibu Canyon yesterday afternoon belong to their loved ones. The L.A. On September 16th when restaurant management at Geoffrey's Malibu called sheriff's deputies because she could not pay her $89 bill, officers found a small amount of marijuana in her car, impounded it and booked her at the Lost Hills station in Agoura Hills. It's so good; we need to start finding more reasons to go to Calabasas (oh wait, Malibu Canyon and that cute girl who just informed us she lives behind the restaurant). There are only a couple of weekends left before most of us say goodbye to summer. Of course, for those of us in summer school, ironically, we're about to get our break, but that's quite the exception to the rule. Anyhow, in the midst of an academic panic last weekend we realized that what we needed more than anything was a little mini-getaway. Nothing that would break the bank or suck up precious time, but instead give us a little rest and regeneration. We decided to get our motor running and head out on the highway. No, not on a drug enhanced "hog" ride, but up the coast to Santa Barbara, where our one day of trippin' proved to be exactly what the doctor ordered. more ›
