More than thirty police officers attempted to untangle the strange web of events that took place in the Fall of 1960 in Lynwood. It concerned a car lot owned by a Mr Claude Mock. He'd employed Anthony Angelo--not realizing just what amount of problems were around the corner.

A hostage situation led to the death of a suspect in Lynwood, a suburb just south of Los Angeles, last night. Around 9:00 p.m., sheriff's deputies responded to a call and found the wife of the suspect shot and wounded outside of her house. Inside, her husband had taken their 2-year-old daughter hostage. At 11:30 p.m., SWAT entered the household, shot and killed the man and rescued the daughter who was unharmed, according to the Associated Press.
