Authorities caution Angelenos time and time again not to leave valuables in our parked cars, but we do anyhow, even when our valuables might include the cremated remains of our loved ones. A family prepping to send their grandmother's ashes by plane to the East Coast had their car burglarized, and the ashes were inside the luggage that was stolen.

Private Pot Plane: Socialite Pleads Guilty To Drug Smuggling
Lisette Lee, the Beverly Hills socialite and actress who left on a private jet from Van Nuys airport in June and was subsequently arrested in Columbus, Ohio for smuggling more than 500 pounds of marijuana inside 13 suitcases, has pleaded guilty. At the time of the arrest, authorities also confiscated cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, three cell phones and suspected drug ledgers from Lee's bag.

Even with a private jet, you still can't expect to haul marijuana from one state to another...and get away with it. On Monday, Lisette Lee, 28, of Beverly Hills found herself under arrest when she arrived at the airport in Columbus, Ohio, after flying in from Van Nuys Airport with one personal assistant, two bodyguards, at least 12 suitcases, and 500 pounds of marijuana, according to LA Now. As a result, "Lee has been charged with conspiracy and possession with the intent to distribute. She is being held without bail pending a hearing Friday in Ohio." Noisy Unattended Luggage Prompts LAX Evacuation
Another day, another suspicious package. Unattended luggage caused officials to evacuate a portion of LAX this morning. Shortly after 11 a.m., the bag sitting next to a Tom Bradley Int'l Terminal ticketing counter and bearing no name tags began emitting an alarm-type sound. Airport police cleared the area, moving about 500 travelers and employees into the streets. The LAPD bomb squad arrived and via an X-Ray machine, determined the sound was coming from a megaphone. 50 minutes later, operations were back to normal. LAX officials say there's a good lesson here: make sure all your bags, including carry-ons, are tagged with your name and info. Whoever's bag this was will likely never see it again.
