In July 2012, "duck liver cannot be served throughout the state if the duck was force fed, which is the method used by duck raisers for the liver to become fatty," explains AHN. Mid-City, Culver City, Downtown...The Valley? Next! Chef Ludovic Lefebvre will be popping up with LudoBites 6.0 later this month at the former Max/Marche space in Sherman Oaks. Running in two blocks--from October 20th to November 11th (Monday through Fridays) and again from November 30th through December 5th--this time there will be two seatings offered, a 6 p.m. and an 8 p.m., according to Squid Ink. A few hours before I headed downtown to dinner at LudoBites 4.0, I shot a link to the menu over to a friend via instant message. "This is where I'm eating tonight," I explained, probably inserting one of those cornball smiley emoticons. I swear I heard her gasp over the interwebs, then the fury of her fingers as she typed me a strict order from a couple thousand miles away: "Promise me you will get the seared foie gras pina colada."
