Lucifers: Devilishly Good Pizza
When it comes to pizza, I don't have the kind geographic allegiance that stipulates anything in particular about crust depth, fold-ability, or sauciness. As a kid in the mid-1980's in Toronto I was introduced by a trend-savvy relative to something called Joel's Gourmet Pizza, which provoked gasps because you could get yuppie toppings like Feta and the whole thing was square. This was a serious game-changer. Hold the phone: It's square, like ohmigod, okay?

L.A.'s New High-Tech 'Coin & Card' Parking Meters Debut
Los Angeles has thousands of broken meters, frustrating confused drivers and concerned city budget officials. “Instead of carrying a bagful of quarters to feed the meter, drivers will now be able to pay quickly and conveniently with a credit card," explained Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa this morning as he unveiled "coin and card" parking meters in Los Feliz, where 200 meters were installed.
You Can't Call it the Eastside, So What Do You Call It?
Fed up with those who erroneously label Silver Lake, Echo Park and other so-called hipster neighborhoods as in within the Eastside, and left with no general sobriquet for the area, Curbed LA is calling for submissions for its regional renaming (basically, the real Eastside is east of the L.A. River, but it always seems to be up for debate).
