In a strangely underreported story that we can only see being discussed on a few local blogs, it appears that the Better Business Bureau has given Santa Monica-based rental giants Westside Rentals an F-rating.

Martini Republic takes local blogs to task today for their (our) anemic coverage of La Gran Marcha yesterday. Joseph is probably right but it's interesting, we didn't find round the clock posts about the significant event on MR's angeleno blog either.

We wish we had read LAFD Online before venturing out yesterday. We could've avoided the road closures and maybe remembered to bring our camera and enjoyed the Hollywood Christmas Parade. Instead, we found ourselves driving through Hollywood a couple hours before parade time confused and in gridlock. The only parade we got to see was the one of bumper to bumper cars on La Brea and Santa Monica as we tried to navigate all the detours and get to the 101.

We always love when Gridskipper points its jetsetting eye on Los Angeles and today they do it by getting recommendations from some of their favorite local blogs. LAist was supposed to be a part of the fun but some of us (ed. note: mainly me) have been without internet access over the past week and couldn't get it together.

First things first: It is a little weird seeing David Boreanaz walk around in the day time without beginning to smolder and from the first words that came out of her mouth, we were completely in love with Michaela Cronin's Angela Montenegro. We can't help it, LAist has a thing for quirky, brainy chicks that do cool things with computers. Emily Deschanel as 'Bones' is a passable heroine and it seems likely that she is going to quickly make the role her own but, despite the constant pushing of her story, it is Boreanaz who makes the impression. He is comfortable and alive as Agent Booth which gives us hope that we'll be able to forget that for 6 years he was a vampire with a soul.

We love when you call us snarky.
