The Getty Museum rocks out tonight with College Night at the Getty Center, highlighting local talent in art and music. With input from UCLA and USC student committees, the evening includes 3-D installation projects, indie-pop trio Lady Danville, and Trojan dj duo Trackstars. For the more traditional art aficionados, the Getty will provide curator-led tours of French, German, and Chinese exhibitions and special presentations and demonstrations related to the exhibition Paris: Life & Luxury. If all that doesn’t get you, how about these two words: free food. There’s a cash bar onsite, too. Free, but reservations recommended.

Ellis has authored six novels including Less Than Zero, American Psycho and his latest novel, Imperial Bedrooms. The two will "share their fascination for Los Angeles, pop culture, and eating." 7 pm.
