Last weekend the LA Winefest rolled into town with a carnival of vintners, liquor, and lots of bright shiny things. The popular event, held at Raleigh Studios drew a huge crowd. We often had to peek over shoulders and elbow our way up to the tables. LA Winefest will be taking place at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood this weekend. Along with countless wines, sakes, beers and spirits available for tasting, there will be a number of presentations with speakers including Anthony Riboli and Ken Volk. The Winefest is pouring a wide variety of imported wines as well as the kosher wine Hagafen. Microbrews from Firestone Walker Brewing Company and Karl Strauss Brewing Company will be featured. The LA Wine Fest is upon us once again and this year's wines and special events make it somehow acceptable - even socially apropos - to sniff, swirl, drink and twirl your way through the weekend. The festival will be open and ready for sipping this Saturday and Sunday from 2pm - 6pm at the historic Raleigh Studios in Hollywood.
